When I started Beauty by Jen Lai, I had just finished nursing school and was feeling deeply burnt out from working in healthcare during the pandemic. I had barely anything in my bank account due to some personal struggles.

I originally enrolled in a brow tattooing course, but quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. Rather than letting self-doubt hold me back, I decided to explore a different path: brow lamination and tinting. With a little push from my uncle, who has always believed in me, I thought, “Why not give it a shot? Money comes and goes. This could be something special.”

Now four years later, I’m incredibly proud to be educating aspiring artists while continuing to refine and grow in my craft every single day. This journey has taught me resilience, purpose, and the value of pursuing what truly sets your soul on fire.
